I’m a waiting Bee that has been drooling over all the beautiful dress postings. I’ve seen a few that I would love to try on myself, but was wondering if they would even be available in stores anymore. Can anyone clue me in to the turnover rate at bridal stores? If a dress is from a 2010 line, am I out of luck unless I buy it preowned?

I purchased my Allure dress a few weeks ago and it’s at the very latest a 2010 line (maybe 2009).

@gingerlylove: Oh great news! I was starting to wonder if I shouldn’t even bother looking at dresses made before this year 🙂

Designers retire dresses at different times. If a style is very popular they may make it “indefinitely” and name it a “classic.”
Casablanca, for example, has all dresses they have ever made listed on their website and state that they will make any dress for you that you ask, even if retired, which I think is nice!
