I sent mine a week and a few days ago...I already have two RSVPs! but I think it will depend on your guests. I do it right away, a wedding is not usually something I say no to. My friend on the other side, waited until she had job time cleared.
It depends.
Our first came within 4-5 days, but they continue to trickle in. We sent them at the beginning of May and asked for a May 30th deadline. Still waiting for a few.
I already have 38 out of 60 I sent mine 4 months before the wedding; I have lots of faraway family and friends from all over the country and world
so far only 1 regret and that was because this friend heard other friends got theirs and she got offended when she didnt receive hers yet--I was still deciding; aw well, thats what happens when you're too unreliable coming to begin with
I'm hoping for a few regrets too but so far everyones been yes yes yes
all the add-ons (those not on the original list) have so far said no, whewI'm pushing the maximum capacity limit. I expect a high rsvp rate even though its a small party of 60 because everyone is immediate family, 1st cousins I keep in touch with, good friends I keep in touch with and many local friends and best friends
I think if they are people you're not too close to its 50-50; but everyone we invited are all close to us
About 30 of my 130 never came back at all! They trickle in at unpredictable rates. Some people will return them right away; others right around the due date, some never. Those were the three broad categories of (non)response we got.
I sent mine last Friday and got a response as soon as Saturday afternoon! A few more came in yesterday and today though (they're online) so it's pretty cool to see the fast responses. I imagine there will be stragglers who wait though.
I got two or three back within two days. So far (about a week after they were mailed) we've heard back from about 50 people--all yesses.
they really do trickle in at an unpredictable rate... one day i would get 6... another day nothing... next day 10. it makes no sense. We sent them out about a month ago and the deadline is coming up in a few days but we're still waiting on about 10 or 15. and that is why we set the date much earlier than is necessary... so we can track down the stragglers.
We sent out a total of 150 invites. I sent mine a couple of weeks ago and started get them back within a couple of days. I am getting 1-2 per day at least (got 5 yesterday!). We're at least 1/3 of the way there.
its fun getting rsvp's even though I whine about the cost I feel touched when I see the yes's like everyone is supporting us and happy for us

I am sending out my invitations tommorow [whew!]
How long did it take for you to get replys back? I am hoping the regrets will go ahead and send a check
[I know, shame on me - but my budget could use the help!]
