That’s too bad if I lost my ring I’d be devastated.  I don’t even take it to the gym for this reason. 🙁 Mine is an heirloom too.  Hopefully they will find it by one if the machine.

My DH lost his ring less than a month after our wedding so I understand your pain. How much is your deductible versus how much the ring would cost to replace? We ended up paying for it ourselves to prevent the increase in rate costs.

@indibee:  With your deductible that low it might work out. Fouses th e ring cost $1,100 but they offered us a deal to replace it for $800 since they felt bad. With our $500 deductible it wasn’t worth the increase in rates to go through insurance. Definitely give them a call though and get the details.

here’s hoping it turned up! So far it has been several months for us with no such luck so we Re reordering next week. 🙁

Pray to St. Anthony, the saint who helps people find lost things! (I’m not overly religious but St. Anthony has helped me find many a lost thing, plus I think he was de-sainted a few years ago so it’s more like wishing to Santa or something)

Sorry that I have no insurance advice. Perhaps you can just call your company and ask what to do?

I gave it a week before I reported the loss to the police. I think insurance would want you to report as soon as you have turned everything upside down.  With our policy we had a limited window to report it in, and they needed a police report. I would call your insurance to find out their procedure and what your deductible might be.

TO indibee:  oh gee that is annoying… I do hope that it turns up.

Like the other Bees said, you might want to enlist the help of St Anthony as I have heard many times others have found luck (faith?) with that…

Wikipedia – St Anthony = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_of_Padua

Lol, people find it strange when I tell them that Mr TTR will not be having (let alone wearing) a Wedding Ring.

This is precisely one of the reasons why… he doesn’t wear rings, and tells me that in his whole life WHENEVER he’s tried he’s always lost them (of course with heart-breaking results).  Told me one story where he saw his ring come flying off his finger, and rolled on down into a Sewer Grate…

As well he can’t wear one due to his job… and afterall these 60+ years of no ring, he says he’d NEVER find one comfortable enough to wear.

So alas, no ring for him … instead I’ll be giving him a nice Watch when we marry… should make for a humourous moment at the Ceremony

“With this Watch… I thee Wed”… lol

Again, *fingers crossed* you find your Hubby’s W-Band
