It all depends... how many times a week are you able to update your blog?
It takes a little while. If you're comfortable telling your friends/family, do that and you can get a couple of subscribers right off the bat. Then update frequently, and start making connections with other bloggers out there--comment on their posts, follow them. Pretty soon you'll start getting some followers, too! Good luck!
i try to every other day... ( I just started may I add) lol
If you update a lot, that helps a whole heck of a lot. Plus Mouse has a lot of great suggestions above!
haha I started mine a couple weeks ago and I don't have any followers, so don't fret!
I follow so many blogs, but I have no followers yet either...
Ill follow too. Post up your link! Ive been blogging for a month and I always love following blogs from the beginning!

Ive only got four followers but I get people dropping by and commenting. I find blogging is a good way to keep track on things for me wedding related.

Mine is http://soontobemrsjackson.blogspot.com/ I'd love some followers!!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!! I feel more popular now!! lol
haha awesome :):) I know exactly how you feel... I feel like I'm writing and blogging to an empty world lol. :)
I am trying to follow you sept2610 and i cant find the "follow" button!! WHere is it?
haha...umm.. not sure. usually when you see someone's blog, it has the option to follow in the upper left hand corner of the screen. if not you can click on the tab to see my profile and the follow button might be in there.
I just added you in my reader to become a follower :)
Thanks for the comments! Love your blog!
My blog is http://www.loverswaltz.com
I'll follow you if you follow me!
Oh, and forgive me for the shameless self-promotion, but I'd also like to pimp my REAL blog. It's a frugal fashion blog: http://www.fashionunder100.net.
I found that the more you network with other blogs the more you will have people follow you...it won't always happen with time...making connections is the best thing you can prob do.
I just started a blog too (http://loveitloveitall.wordpress.com) and was wondering the same thing!
Great advice ladies
I've been blogging for almost a year and have 50 followers. I'm happy enough with that - I really didn't think I'd even get THAT many.
Sept2610-I can't find the follow button either but I noticed you're using blogger too so did you add the gadget? You have to go to the "edit layout" tab and that should bring up the option to "add gadget" and you can pick where you want the little button to show up.
Oh and I need to add my shameless plug for my blog cuz I need followers too-http://fishoutofwater-sam.blogspot.com/ I stopped updating for a while since I had no followers even though I've got a lot of posts in "draft" form that just need to be added otherwise I was updating almost every day.
Network!! Comment on blogs as much as possible. If there are any girls on here who you really like, see if they have a blog (a lot of them put a link in their profile.) I also started using Twitter and found brides and Bees who have it, too. I've been blogging for about a year and I have 49 "subscribed" followers. I have a feeling there are more people who read it but don't have a blog and/or don't comment. Anyway, have fun!!
I started mine last year but I haven't actually told anyone about it. I think I have 2 readers, my aunt and one of my BMs who I sent the link too when I started. Now that I have some actual posts and wedding stuff to write about I'll share the link if anyone is interested. Of course, I'll follow back. It's a bit wordy right now but pictures will increase soon.
I think I started mine in April. I try to post when I can, or when I have something interesting to say - hah! I think I only had about 5 followers in the beginning, the rest are all (or mostly) bees. Like some of the PP's I didn't tell anyone in "real life" about my blog excpt for FI who reads only once in a while - that prob would've gotten me a lot more reads. Good luck! :)
The main reason I didn't tell most of my friends/family about my blog is because I may want to use the blog as an outlet to complain about them once in a while.

I just started a blog, and I was wondering how long it takes for it to take off and become a blog that people subscribe to? Any one have a blog here?
