The shop didn't tell me when to expect my dress to come in and I was too excited to remember to ask. It usually takes a few months, right? I'm very anxious and it's only been one month, but I'm wondering how long it typically takes.
So, how long did your's take?
I was told 4-6 months and it ended up coming in after 7 months because the factory "was behind."
My dress has not came in yet, but it is set to come in May. I ordered it in Jan. so about 4 months.
They said 6 months, and it came in right around the 4 month mark (September to January).
Mine came in in 2 1/2 months! The salon originally told me to expect 4 months.
@mizrunzou 2.5? wow! i expected 4-6 months but it seems you got lucky!
Funny thing is, I ordred it so early I didn't even do my fitting until 6 months later!!

I was told 6 months but purchased it in October and it arrived BEFORE Christmas! What a present that was!!! 2 months.
sounds like the average is 4...so i'll shoot for mid june, hopefully! thanks, ladies.
i was told 4-6 months, but it all depends on where the dress is made, the fabric, details, etc. mine is being made in spain, so i don't anticipate getting it til july. so hard to wait though!
@hseale, i guess mine is being made in Spain too, so i wont get my hopes up too high for it to come in early. :)
I ordered mine at the beginning of July 2009...wedding's in June 2010. It is STILL NOT in yet. I am starting to lose my mind just a little bit.
I ordered a Pronovias...any ladies know how long they typically take??
I ordered mine in January and they said 4-8months....I hate waiting..keeping my fingers crossed for a quick delivery.
I was told between 5-6 months, and it took less than 3.
I was told 4-6 and it came in in about five and a half because it's "busy season" for the factory- lots of early summer brides out there!
@jennhasfeet who is the designer? mine is la sposa but i think the other spanish designers usually take about the same time, too.

I think part of it depends also with the designer you get. Mori lee I was told only 3 months. While maggie sottero the greater part of 5. I ended up having to get a petite in the maggie sottero, since it is more custom of a fit then a regular fitting dress i fear it will be longer than that! ohh my goodness its hard playing this waiting game!
I just ordered mine last week and they told me early November. 8 freaking months!
My dress is Watters and it came in after 2.5 months. I was actually really surprised. I wasn't even going to think about it until February, but it came in mid Novemeber!
The bridal salon told me 6 months originally I think.
Glad to hear the Watters dress came in 2 months! I'm planning on ordering mine in the next month and these posts were starting to freak me out!
My dress came in today and I ordered in Jan. So it took a little over 2 months to come in.
I was quoted 5-6 months and it took 6.5 months. My wedding isn't for another couple months but I was worried about alterations. Luckily, it fits like a glove.
Mine is a Lazaro and handmade so it took 7 months to come in. It just depends on who makes it and if it's handmade or machine made. Usually 1-3 or upwards to 7 or 8.
Just call the salon and they should have no problem telling you! Dont forget that alterations can take 1-3 months, as well!
I ordered mine in May and was told it would arrive around October I think, but then the dress went and arrived in July. So, two months.
I know for rush delivery it takes 6-8 weeks. Unfortunately I know this from experience as I have not ordered my bridesmaid dresses yet!
I ordered at the end of Nov and just got a call that it's shipping and will be here mid-April. So 4.5 months.
i ordered right before thanksgiving and it should be here the end of april...
