Hoping for some advice. The wedding is June 5th, and to make a long story short there has been a last minute change in Bridesmaid or Best Man dress choice. P.S. It’s probably easier if you just pick the dress and not give your BMs to many options.
The girls will order the dresses this weekend. Satin separates in Lapis and Wisteria.
Davids Bridal says it will take 6-12 weeks and you cannot put a rush on it.
- How long did it take to get your Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses?
- Should I be concerned the, wedding is exactly 12 weeks away?
- Any words of caution, should I find a different faster vendor
Thanks for your help bees!

Only one of my girls had to order hers. The other two were in the store. The one girl just ordered hers about a week ago and they said it would be there in April.

I was in a wedding and I didn’t know how long dresses took. I went to David’s Bridal hoping they would have something in the store. Turns out that I was able to order the dress and it came in in 3 weeks.

I ordered my dress from them last time I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man, and I got it, but they never called me to tell me it was in. The thing about DB is that you have to assume that they will not provide good customer service, and just be pleasantly surprised if they ever do.

msmonicka & Ms. Caniche – for the dresses thatwere available in store – were those out on the floor, or did they keep them in back? Also, can I ask which ones they were?
mandalee0624 – you are describing my nightmare! I truly hope this doesn’t happen. Did you get them in time anyway?
lauraou7 – thanks for the response, I hope it wil work out that quickly for us!
Which dresses did you all get and which colors?

No joke — I ordered a dress from their website on a Monday (Feb 22) morning, and when I got home from school on that very Wednesday (Feb 24), it had already arrived! Even though I just bought it online, it shipped from a store 2 hours away. I have to assume that this is unnaturally quick, but no complaints here!

I still have one bridesmaid that has not ordered her dress yet for our June 5th wedding. She just had a baby so she was waiting to see what size she would be.

We ordered them at the end of May for a September wedding. So, I think we got them like a week before the wedding.

I ordered mine in January of last year for FSIL’s wedding, it came in the end of March. About 12 weeks.
The issue I think you might run into is alterations – I didn’t get mine altered, but many of the girls did, and I really should have! Mine was a little long, but not so much that it looked off.

Two of my girls ordered from the store on January 8th and they were in exactly a month later (give or take a day). My other two girls ordered their dresses off of the website and they got those in less than a week. I don’t understand why ordering off the website gives it to you so much quicker but it does. My mom also ordered three dresses (she sent back the two she didn’t like) off of the DB website and got those within a week.

My friend picked out style number 39261 in marine blue. She also picked out dyed shoes to match.

I ordered my first wedding dress (I ended up switching to another one) from DB and it only took 2 weeks to come in. Granted, that was in October and not toward the height of wedding season. If your wedding is June 5th, I’m sure you have enough time for them to come in. Good Luck!
