Hi everyone!  I'm anxiously waiting to hear about my application to blog!  It's been almost 2 weeks and my phone is glued to my hip in the hopes that I'll see the little envelope icon from weddingbee!

So, in hopes of calming my nerves,  how long did it take you to hear back?  Rejection?  Acceptance?!?!

    Thanks!

Never applied, but I bet it would vary a little bit by how many applications they get in at a time. More to review = longer wait time.

ETA: Did you get a confirmation that they received it?

It took me 4 weeks to get rejected the first time I applied. The second time I applied was over the holidays so it took abnormally long. I think it was about 7 weeks before I was accepted.

You got the confirmation so you should be good. The review process just takes a while.

Best of luck to you! :)

@M.Ruder: I'm with you!! I applied a little over 3 weeks ago and it's driving me crazy! Especially seeing Miss Cotton Candy getting introduced! I got the confirmation e-mail though, so I'm sure I'll hear soon :)

Does anyone else find it a little ironic that the new blogger is Miss Cotton Candy and the ringleader of the "snark board" goes by that name? (oops I didn't want to bring that up here sorry!)  LOL

@M.Ruder: Ugh, I don't want to say and jinx it! :/ In all honesty, I'm 75% sure I won't be picked this go round. I think my wedding is too far away, and sometimes I feel like my writing doesn't sound as smart and flowy as the bee's!

I've checked my phone a million times in the past 2 days, I just want to know so I can stop driving myself crazy with doubt!!

@angelica3025: I'm hoping that's just an unfortunate coincidence! I loved that icon, it was one of my top 3!

@M.Ruder: I noticed that yesterday and thought that was extremely weird!  Poor Miss Cotton Candy (the Bee of course!)  But good luck I hope you are accepted!  Which name/icon do you want?

@AnneTossy: Yeah Im sure it is!  At least I hope it is!  lol

I can't remember!!! One was fast.. a couple of days. The other two took longer. My acceptance letter took 2 or 3 weeks after my final application, I think. (I saw a lot of activity in my blog statistics for a day or two and then I got the acceptance about a week later.) I think sometimes things move faster than others, depending on the need and how quickly the "committee" gets to voting. :)

@angelica3025:  I'm going to plead the 5th for now!  It fits with my wedding date, that's for sure!

But I'm not going to be picky/upset if I don't get it.  I keep telling myself that when/if I get to be a blogger, whichever icon I am will be absolutely perfect!

I'm actually curious if there are any left-overs from other generations to pick from!

I think there are a few leftovers! I'm pretty sure Miss Scone is still up-for-grabs :)

You can check them out here: http://wiki.weddingbee.com/Weddingbee

The ones that aren't linked are still open! Well, I think it needs to be updated a bit (Crepe and Pain au Chocolat have already been taken)

There's still the Dalmation from the doggie generation. ;)

I actually picked Spaniel a few generations after it came out (the weather icons had mostly been picked; I was in the middle of the junk food generation!). There are still a few safari animals and brunch items left, and apparently there Miss Bracelet is still available!

I turned mine in and a day and a half later, I got my acceptance.  I think I was somehow linked to Pengy's brain and KNEW they were about to accept bees in the next day and slid my app  right in there.  Real sci-fi stuff.  I was expecting it to take at least a month.  I think it just depends on when bees become Mrs. and new slots open up.

@M.Ruder: Its Miss Sparkler, isnt it? lol

I'll keep my fingers crossed! We need some more Midwest (especially StL) bees! Argyle is the ONLY StL bee. C'mon Pengy, we need to represent.

I went to the wiki that was linked and was wondering why some of the links are red.  When I click on them I get this:

"The action you have requested is limited to users in the group user.

    Return to Main Page."

    Has anyone else gotten this?

The first time, I got my rejection email 4 weeks to the day after I submitted.  The second time, it was about 2 weeks when I was accepted!  It can definitely be a long process and waiting is killer!

I think mine was 2-ish weeks. Funny story...I read the email at 2am after PDog and I returned from an awesome concert...where I had, ahem, imbibed a drink or two. In the morning, I didn't remember reading the email until after I'd showered and had coffee. I was like...wait, did that happen...? Class act, self. As usual.

@prairiedog:That's amazing!  Sometimes, when I am in the same state, I'll dream I've written a lot of embarrassing stuff on people's facebook walls.  I have to wake up in the morning and make sure I didn't do anything incriminating.
