@Ninteenthchance:  What’s your starting weight?

It took me WAY less time to go from 173 to 153 than it did to go from 153 to 122!

It generally takes me about 3 months to lose about 20lbs, then I hit a plateau!

@Ninteenthchance:  I went from 208 to 168 in 7 months. It’s much harder now to lose my remaining 30 lbs, it’s been much slower.  Good luck!

@Ninteenthchance:  I lost 35 pounds in 4 months. That said, don’t do that! I lost a lot of body mass with my fat… which essentially means that I didn’t get as trim as I would’ve liked.

You’ve shared your height, but not your weight, so I won’t make guesses. But 175 at 4″5 is a lot different than 175 at 6″5.

@Ninteenthchance:  So we have a similar start weight! Yay!

I lot the first 20lbs just by changing my diet. It’s HARD to focus on eating healthy!

Then, after about three months and 20 pounds lost, I added in light exercise!

I got all the way down to about 135 on that, and decided to train for a half-marathon, which is how I got all the way down to 122!

I think the hardest part was eating well for the first month. After that, I was seeing SUCH results on the scale (and I weighed in EVERY day), that I just kept going on my own steam!

Can I chime in and ask HOW you guys lost that weight?  Because I’m trying to do it myself-

@Ninteenthchance:  You SO will! Once I hit 135, I felt SO good when I was eating 99% healthfully! So much that I even started to enjoy my running!

But portion control is easier when you GORGE on veggies/fruit/soup.

And drink 16oz water (1 glass) 20 minutes before each meal. Seriously! I ate HALF as much at dinner if I had plenty of water before hand. And don’t burn yourself out trying to work out every day and eat nothing but kale all at once!

And I loved drinking like 32oz water after a work-out. That hungry after just working out feeling VANISHES!

You have to think of it as “being HEALTHY” and not “dieting”.
