Weddingbee boards

Okay, I'll be honest - it's been a little over two months since our wedding, and I still haven't finished writing thank you notes.  I can't send the ones I have written until I finish them all.  (His family is really close, so sending one to Auntie but not Cousin just will NOT do!)  I had the brilliant idea of writing five per night during commercial breaks but that lasted maybe two days.  Then we moved, and while I know where the cards are, it seems more important to unpack the million boxes littering our new home.  

I know they say you have a year to send them, but that just seems cheeky.  I mean, if I bought you a nice present and then didn't hear from you til a year later, I'd be a bit miffed.  

So ladies, if you're already married, how long before you sent out your thank yous?  If you've had a shower, how long before you got yours done? 

My wedding was 3 months ago, I have ordered my thank you notes and they will go out as soon as I write them all in so it will be within 6 months.  I would have loved to send them out within 2-3 months but without the flush thank you cards that wasn't happening. 

I did send out thank yous for all the gifts received fromt he shower and checks received in the mail immediately.
