I’ve been charting for 12 cycles now, and we’ve had good timing for almost all of them… still no BFP for us, so I’m guessing there’s a contributing factor here.

I had been charting for 5 cycles, and we had been actively trying 3 of those cycles.  I got my BFP on the cycle where I was sure we HADN’T timed it correctly.  *shrug*

1 month of not very good timing, then 2 months of GREAT timing and on the second one we got our BFP.

We got our BFP the 1st month I started using OPK’s.  I’m a firm believer in BDing every day during your O window, the every other day can be hit or miss bc sperm is really only good for 24 hours.

The first month I ovulated I got pregnant. We were ttc for a year and I never ovulated, was put on clomid and got pregnant:)

We got a BFP at 10 cycles (with charting–BBT, CM and CP) and OPKs. We lost the pregnancy and got pregnant with DS at 13 cycles (ironically, our timing that month was not ideal–we only had sex once, two days before ovulation).

@Sbee82:  We got our BFP the first cycle I actually tracked O-day and planned BD around it. We’d been NTNP for 2 cycles before that.

We got lucky – happened the first cycle with us doing everything “perfectly”.

Good luck to you!!

Same as dreamocracy above, we were lucky that the first cycle worked for us but I wouldn’t call us perfect. We missed one day of BD leading up to O (can’t remember which right now.. may be O-1?) because I Oed a little earlier than I thought.

I started charting temps and CM last June. My temps didn’t drop at all at the time I should have been ovulating, so I assumed that I wasn’t. The same happened the next month. . . But I got a BFP! Unfortunately that pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks. This time around I ditched the thermometer, but continued to check my CM. We would BD every other day 7 or 8 days before ovulation and the day before and the day of ovulation. For me it is very obvious when I’ve passed ovulation. I got my BFP on the fourth cycle.

Four cycles of decent to great timing.  Our “lucky” cycle was the one with the best timing yet.

The first two months we weren’t really trying, and I’m pretty sure we had horrible timing. We got lucky on the 3rd month, and that month we BD on O-2, O-1, and O day.
