So… two nights ago I accidentally found the receipt for my ring!!! Ahhhh!!!! Now my question is: how long after your Fiances bought the ring did it come back to the store for final pick up? I understand it’s probably different for each manufacturer and different setting and what not but I’m trying to get a generally idea.

Also depends on your finger size. I have a tiny finger (3.5) and the ring had to be made for me (it has diamonds on the sides). So it took 5 weeks. My original ring only took 1.5 weeks because it just needed to be resized.

@JessMorgan777: thanks for the reply. I’m a size 6 ring finger. Most of the rings I tried on from this jewler fit like Cinderellas glass slipper! for a petite person I have wide fingers for my frame, ha. If it’s any of the rings he knew I loved it will have diamonds around the band as well.
I’m just such an impatient person!!

@BeeinBoston: I’d say it would take no longer than 2 weeks then!

we went to a small local jeweler. we gave them the stone for the ring (it was a family heirloom), we chose the setting, and two days later, i had the ring on my hand.

FI picked up my ring the same day he ordered it. My ring is a size 7, but has to be resized this weekend, because it’s too big. He purchased the ring at Lux, Bond & Green (in CT, but they also have a store in Boston).

@BeeinBoston: we ordered mine online, and it took just under 2 weeks to be delivered after we approved the design (12 days, only 8 business days). So pretty quick!

FI Bought it on a Saturday, we got it back the following Tuesday night. Had to be sent away to be made bigger, but FI begged the lady to beg the goldsmith to get it back ASAP.

@BeeinBoston: It could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 weeks if he decided to do anything custom. Although, I should point out that a lot of guys don’t propose the day they pick up the ring. My fiance drove me bat shit insane and waited 2 months to propose, although it was perfect when he did it!

Mine was an estate ring that just needed to be resized. They told FI 3 weeks but he said it was ready less than a week later.
