I got married a little over 3 months ago and I haven’t heard anything from my photographer. Is this normal? I wasn’t really worrying until friends/family started asking “did you get your proofs?” “did you see any sneak peeks?” “when can we see professional pics?”
I don’t really remember the photography studio telling me how long it would be until I heard from them. They’re a well known company in my area and the pics they are posting recently on their facebook page seem to be from summer weddings so I guess I shouldn’t be too concerned. I guess I could just contact them but I don’t want to seem annoying or pushy!
Just wondering how long other bees have had to wait for their pro pics!

@danafish: What does your contract say regarding delivery times? I think I had a preview on their blog within a week, and my full gallery up around 8 weeks. FWIW, that’s the same time frame I tell my clients. Blog/FB preview within a week, and full gallery in 6-8 weeks. Although I do tell them that if they’re getting married during busy season (May/June & Sept/Oct) it’s almost always closer to the 8 week mark.

@danafish: My photography said there would be sneak peak within a week of the wedding, and then everything else will be at the latest 3 months.
It all depends on what your photographer offers. I would just call to check up for an estimate or a couple sneak peaks to tide you over. 🙂

My standard turnaround is 8-10 weeks for photos but sometimes gets to be 3 months, especially for busy May and June months and for weddings in November because I do take time off from work for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.

We were right around the 3 month mark, which seemed long compared to a lot of girls here. I would reach out and ask for a timeline! Especially cause this isn’t the busy season.

A couple of months is pretty normal. After four months I would start to bug them about it. There’s no harm in checking in and asking for an ETA, though. Might move you up the queue a little too!

Less than a month. Ours are already in the mail, but we’ve got access to them online.

- Wedding: October 2013 - The Fox Hill Inn
@danafish: We got our online gallery in about 6 weeks, our flash drive with the photos slightly after (was a couple days delayed due to Thaanksgiving) and our hard copy proofs in 8 weeks. Our photographer was in communication with us the whole time (when the site went up and shipping info). This was also within the timelines in our contract.
Did you have a contract? Did it specify when you would receive your photos? I know how frustratedy ou must be to get your beautiful photog photos!
