Our photographer told us the first photos would be ready the week after we return from honeymoon. So three weeks from wedding. They will be on his website for us and guests to look at. (guest passowrds only work after 3 weeks so we get first disb!). We then have to go to see him and create our album and that should be with us a month later. So unless we complicate things (likely) it should only be 2 moths from the wedding that we have all pictures on disk and the albums in our hands.

@His_missus:  That is pretty bad. Why is the album not happening? Did he give you a reason?

I would have thought you should at least have seen the proofs by now, even if they have not been touched up yet.

I hope it all sorts itself out and you get to see them soon.

While my guy has told me it will be quick. I still havent seen the ‘practice shots’ that he took of us a couple of weeks ago and he had promised by the end of last week. So who knows, three months from now i may be in the same boat as you.

@His_missus:  If the Album is “not happening” you should absolutely demand a refund for that! I wouldn’t even consider allowing him to replace it with another product of “equivalent worth” because albums are our most expensive products and you may not even want the replacement! He will just be trying to find something else to give you that has a higher profit margin (i.e. costs him less time and money to produce) like a print or a camvas. I am irate on your behalf. You absolutely need to be refunded every cent for that album and threaten to write reviews/contact the BBB if youre not.

My photographer promised us in our contract we will have photos back one month after our wedding. She was great with our e-photos so I’m not really worried. For our e-pics she told me one week and we got all 100 photos in less than a week online and all the files mailed to me on a flash drive by one week.

I would also want a refund for the album in your case. You paid for that, if its no longer available for whatever reason then you should get your money back so maybe you can get something else somewhere else!

Our photographer said 4-6 weeks, we passed 6 weeks this past Saturday, and she said we should have it sometime this week.

I would demand a refund if the ‘album is not happening’.

@His_missus:  Oh mannnn, you better raise hell! These are some of the most precious pics you will receieve in your life, so tell him yanking you around isn’t an option. Fight, contact BBB, do whatever you gotta do. Totally unacceptable!

My pics should be ready anywhere between 5-8 weeks

The timing really depends on your photographer.  We asked each photog we met with what their turn around time was.  2 of them said a month for wedding photos, but 1 said 3 months.  They were also the “most popular” of my area right now and getting blown up on stylemepretty, so I think that’s fair (although we specificially chose not to use them because of the turn around time).

As for the album, I would definitely demand a refund.

We asked our photographer this question before hiring him, and he said he usually took between 2-4 weeks.  On the day of our wedding, he told us he’d have them in about 3 weeks, which we were totally cool with.

However, in less than 2 weeks, he let us know our online gallery was ready, and in less than 3, we got our promised proof book and thumb drive in the mail.  HAPPY.

My BIL’s cousin’s photographer took 2 months to deliver.

We will receive our disk in the mail less than 3 weeks after the wedding.
