We were friends for a long time first, and that kind of became a friends with benefits situation for a short while then we started dating, so I’m not sure how to answer this lol

NATO:  When I read this I have to laugh because my DH and I weren’t even “together” when we first had sex. I would say it was approximately 3-4 weeks after meeting him.

Background: I was a sophomore and he was a freshman in college. We met at soccer bc we both played for the school and our coach was the head coach of both teams, so the teams were together a lot. I crushed on him pretty hard, and we hung out a few times, but nothing serious. We made out and “fooled around” after about 2 weeks of hanging out together, and then finally had sex sometime around 3 weeks of knowing each other.

I have to say it was quite funny because I had only slept with 2 guys before that, and both were my serious, longtime boyfriends whom I had waited months after officially “going out” before we had sex. My now husband was the first “random” guy I’ve ever slept with and now we are married!

And just to clarify even further, we didn’t “officially” get together until 3 years later haha!

NATO:  We were friends with benefits before we started dating/got serious/exclusive/moved in/engaged/married…. So is negative 6 months an option?? LOL

We became friends in 1999 had liked each other off and on over those years. We made out once in 2009, lost contact for a couple years, and then met up again as friends. Within a week or so, we’d slept together, and made it “official” a few days later.

With FI, around the 3 month mark. It was my first relationship where we waited that long, he was the one who kept putting me off! A couple years in I asked him why he pushed me off so long. He said it was because he knew I was special and wanted us to focus on getting to know each other before sex got involved (one of his rare romantic moments). First man I had ever dated to do that. Whattyaknow?! Over 5 years later and we are getting married.

NATO:  Hahahaha! Actually, it was supposed to be a one night stand type deal, but then we just couldn’t stand to be away from each other…..4 years later we are still together 🙂

NATO:  We were friends/just hung out without even kissing for two months. Then we had our first kiss and slept together on the same night! Two weeks later we moved in together, we’ve now been together for almost 6 years! 🙂

Hmmm, DH & I worked together for 3 years, and nothing happened.   Then he left our company in 2008, and in 2009 we started hooking up / having sex / dating casually.  Then in 2010 we became officially boyfriend/girlfriend, and got engaged in 2012.

We had sex on the third ‘date’ (which was really, lets meet at a bar for a drink then go back to someone’s place and fool around).

One month, but not because we wanted to wait. Just didn’t have the privacy. We went on our first weekend getaway and that was our first. Which made it even more special. But I’m sure if we had privacy anytime before that, I would’ve been all over him. Haha

Second date!  We talked for 5 days before going out on our first date.  I was actually quite a hot commodity at that time (as in I randomly was being pursuited by several men), which I’m not comfortable with, so I decided to make a quick decision on who I would continue seeing.  I didn’t choose my soon-to-be FI… but when we went on our second date, I was going to let him know I still wanted to be friends, and something clicked.  Like, cliche CLICKED.  And I knew I was going to be with him and try to make it work.  Then one thing led to another… I guess that makes it one week, or 2 days after we went on our first date.

Yet another one here that went from friends, to friends with benefits, and then to an actual relationship. So I think negative 2 months? We’ve now been together 5 years, getting married next month.

NATO:  I’m the odd ball out I guess. Going on 4 years.

When he proposes (very soon!) and the date is set, I’ll let you know just how long it ended up being. But until then, times a tickin’…
