I’m learning so much about moissanites and ashas on this board! I keep reading the ashas will cloud over time so it is not a forever stone – would anyone be able to tell me how long they will last for? Or if there are any owners, when did you have to replace yours? (If you haven’t, how long had you had yours for and does it still look like when you first got it?)

Hi there, I bought H colour 1.5 ct Asha last year but hardly wore it and sold it. I just couldn’t get over the fact that it is CZ, but that is just me. Because I didn’t wear it much it didn’t cloud, but CZ is a porous stone and this porosity is what makes it cloud. Asha’s amophorous diamond coating is supposed to lessen the porosity issues, however, the coating can get scratched and once it happens it is downhill from there. Having said that, some people rock them for quite a while without scratching or clouding. The trick is to keep it as clean as possible. There is Asha forum on BTD forum boards where there is a wealth of info and people’s experiences with Ashas.

I’m not a huge Asha fan but they certainly do not cloud. There are women over there on their board that have been wearing Ashas for years. Mine is 3 years old and looks the same as when I bought it. It’s a pretty stone but it looks cz-ish in my opinion.
