I feel like 2 months is the norm... but then again I have no idea! we were going to do pictures on our thank you card, but then decided to do them for Christmas cards, and just have plain thank you cards to send out. We just got our pictures cd this weekend, but our photographer was super fast!
The proper etiquette is to send notes within two weeks for gifts received before the wedding. Actually, Emily Post states that thank-you notes should be written within 3 months of the receipt of the gift at the wedding.
i'd say 3 months max. if you're using vistaprint or overnight prints or something similar for your thank yous, their production time is generally pretty fast.
I ditto the 2-3 months. Any longer and I start wonder if they got the gift, if something happened, or if they just forgot to write them =\
Ok. Thank you! Any suggestions as to where to order them from? I really like this one from weddingpaperdivas.com, but it is alot pricier than Vista print (which did not have exactly what I wanted).
I worked hard to get mine out in less then 2 months. One thing that was helpful was that my photographer sent me some teaser pics without the watermark on them. I was able to take those and use them for the thank you cards! I got mine out just before I hit the 1.5 months after the wedding mark. :)

My wedding was Nov 13, 2010. I am waiting on my photographer to get our pictures ready to view so that I can use one of them for our TY card. He said the pictures will be ready Dec 11. That is almost a month after the wedding, and then I will have to hurry and get these TY crads designed and ordered and wait for them to be shipped to me. SO...what is my timeframe for getting these cards in the mail in an acceptable time period??
