My wedding will begin at 3:00 pm. How much time do I need to get ready? I have 2 BM’s and am doing a Destination Wedding in Mexico. I am gettiing my hair and make-up done at the spa at the resort. Any advice?

All day. Seriously, I was just BM in a friend’s wedding and she was so stressed out with last minute DIY projects, and getting her daughter’s nails done, and talking to the coordinator, that she about had a breakdown.
Takeaway? The bride should be doing absolutely nothing but eating strawberries, drinking mimosas, and getting pretty. For a 3:00 wedding, I’d make your appointments at 10:00 and hand your phone to someone who’s not a bridesmaid but who will be available to you all day. Your BMs are there to help, but they have to get ready too…

- Thank you so much for your response. I think I am picturing something that isn’t realistic for the wedding day!
- Wake up, go to the beach and swim some laps.
- Take shower and go to brunch at the resort with the 2 BM’s
- Hair apt, make-up.
- Go to room and snack on roomservice
put dress on, have champagne, apply lipstick, and GO!
Sorry for the bullet points. I can’t get rid of them for some reason.

I think that sounds like a perfect day. Personally, I was a ball of nerves. My BMs were all getting ready at my house, and my MUA was working on my mom and sister before myself. So basically i was sitting there watching wedding movies (my sister put on “Runaway Bride” I swear that was a cruel joke lol) just trying not to throw up! I would much rather have been somewhat busy. All in all I got my own hair and makeup done from 3-4:30, so about 1.5 hours.
