    I voted 6 months or less. He told me to pick out my ring! Yay! He won’t tell me when he buys it though because he wants the proposal to be a secret and he teases me about when he might propose 🙂 I don’t mind waiting a bit longer as long as I know it’s coming for sure 🙂

    I’am new here to the Bee! [; I voted a year or less. We went ring shopping back in March but last week he told me that he was not going to buy the ring until after he buys his house ( which he is in the process of doing and has been for a year now).  He says that it could be another year before he lands one. I’am hoping this is just his way of throwing me off. There are 2 important dates coming up which one is my birthday in Dec and our 5th anniversary in Feb. [;

    @kpcascio:  I’ll be engaged by Christmas day, no later. I’m convinced.

    @kpcascio:  I said 1.5 years or less.  I want to change my answer to 1 year haha!  I am REALLY HOPING for the or less part haha!!!

    Mr. Vb could very well get a job before the end of the year, and then it’s possible that he may propose then.  Even if he does get a job, he wants to finish up grad school and he’s putting on all of his applications that he is finishing up in April of 2014.  I know that he will be more comftorable asking my dad/announcing to his family we are engaged after he gets a job lol.  (He’s flying out for two interviews this month–fingers crossed!!!!).

    I do feel that with all of our life changes, moving wherever he can get a job, me finding a new job, adjusting to all of this…that I can be okay waiting lol.  I put 1.5 year to give a 6 month buffer to my minimum expectation….but I honestly don’t think it will be that long!  FINGERS CROSSED!  After typing this out–WOW 1.5 years is going to be 2015 and I really doubt it’ll be that long…IDK how to change my poll answer to a year or less.

    @kpcascio:  I’m going with 3 months or less! I really hope I’m right though. He’s pretty good at keeping secrets, though he did tell me that his main goal thru the end of the year was paying off my “present” and that this “present” may have to suffice as both my birthday and Christmas present (bday is less than a week before Xmas) soooooooo, I’m guessing that it’ll be either my bday or Christmas! I suggested that if I had a choice, I’d rather have a birthday present, so maybe he’ll hook me up..fingers crossed 🙂

    I’m proposing somewhere between 1.5 years time and 2 years time. I was hoping he’d do it sometime before then but recently I’ve been thinking those chances are very slim. At least it’s less than two years!

    I voted 6 months or less. The ring has been purchased. I actually thought I would be engaged by now, because he told me he would be moved in by now,  but I was wrong 🙂 SO and I agreed we would be engaged before or shortly after moving in together. After a rough patch that I’ve been posting about, I think it is safe to say he is moving in by the end of November. If it doesn’t happen within 3 months of moving in, he is moving back out!

    I voted 6 or less, just because I figure it will either be my birthday, xmas, new years, or valentines day. He told me it would happen before Jun 2014, and he said it was a long time so I couldn’t guess when. 😉

    I voted 3 months or less because he told me this week that it would happen in either late November or early December. He said that is when he will be done paying for it and he doesn’t think he can hold onto it for long since he is so excited 🙂

    I’m hoping by end of the year (voted 6 months) because I’ve been told that from the horses mouth! He has also said next xmas, never etc. I have a feeling its sooner because he is all excited as its arrived in the country but who knows. Here’s hoping its in 2 weeks when we go on our little 3 day holiday to “our place” hehehe. 🙂

    I think it’ll be by next June. But I honestly, truly have no idea if/what his plans might be.

    I’m going with a conservative estimate of 1.5 years or less, because if it isn’t before then, we will be having some pretty serious conversations!

    I’m cautiously optimistic for 6-9 months!

    He said mid-November…. I am freaking.out. every day! He doesn’t have a ring, but we have our eyes on one at Shane Co., we may be buying it in a couple weeks. We’ll see. I’ll be pretty sad if the timeline doesn’t play out.
