    I’m not sure it ACTUALLY makes a difference, but in my head it does, lol.

    When we do it at night, I wad up a piece of toilet paper and shove it down my underpants to catch any leakage and I leave it in there until I absolutely HAVE to get up and pee, often I can last until the next morning.    When we do it during the day, I put a light tampon in near the opening to ‘plug’ the hole and keep the swimmers in.   I know it’s a risk for TSS, so I prefer to really do it at night.   I’m also afraid that the tampon would absorb my very necessary EWCM, so I try not to  do it.

    I voted more than 30 minutes because we usually do it at night before bed.

    @Jamieg:  I didn’t time it but it did seem like forever. I would probably say a good 5-7 minutes. I also made sure to have my legs up against the wall (I have heard this helps).

    I usually laid there for about 20 minutes. The month I got pregnant I didn’t at all because we weren’t really trying and I wasn’t thinking about it. My OB did suggest it though! Good luck!!

    I lay in bed with my hips/legs in the air for 10-20 mins. I think gravity can’t hurt right?! It has worked for me twice 🙂

    It didnt work last month (first) but I am laying with my legs up on the wall for 30 minutes. And I might try softcups this month.

    Near the beginning of my ovulation week I was laying back for like 10 minutes, near the end of the window I laid on my back with my legs and feet up in the air for like 20 minutes!

    I did get a first cycle BFP, but I strongly doubt they’re related!

    My DH insisted on 10-15 min with a pillow under my hips. I kept telling him it wouldn’t make a difference, but we got pregnant asap so I have no leg to stand on now!

    The last 2 times we’ve bd’ed I’ve tilted my hips in the air from 10-30 mins. We’ll see if it works!

    I had to balance this with the risk of not peeing quickly enough and getting a UTI (I’m incredibly prone towards UTIs). So I would say 5-10 minutes. Sometimes out of laziness, sometimes because in my head it felt like EVERYTHING came out of me if I stood up right away and I wanted to at least have a chance at some of the little swimmers staying in.

    I am a wierdo about messes on the sheets so I pretty much got up immediately, every time.  I am 4 weeks today so it definitely still worked 🙂

    @princessbelle:

    We just started, but this has always been what happens and I hope we don’t need to change anything.

    I would have to say 2 minutes although I do wait to go to the bathroom (I am paranoid about uti).
