I am wearing mine the whole night, but I think I am the exception. My girlfriend is my hairdresser and is going to pin mine up bubble style, which will match my 50's inspired reception dress. I really wanted to find a way to wear it all night and she did a wonderful job at showing me how she will do it.
Most people seem to take them off once the reception begins. That's why I don't really see the need to spend a fortune on one ~ you don't have it on long enough to justify some of the high price tags!
@Tswife4ever: interesting question. Never really thought about it. If it was me I think photos and right after the ceremony? but come dancing time I would want it off Im afraid
I only wore mine for the ceremony. I took it off for cocktails and the reception.
I am not sure yet how long I will wear mine. I will probably keep it on until after we do our first dance.
I bought a plain one and am only wearing it for the ceremony. I am going to do a funky feather for the reception
This is similar to what my veil will look like for the reception. Just alittle shorter.
depends on you some people trash it at reception other change out and wear another one and some wear it all night....
Ok so maybe I will take it off at the reception then. Are you ladies keeping it on for the first dance?
@Tswife4ever: i want to keep mine on for as long i can! i will have mine on for our first dance, i may cave and take it off after we've been dancing for a while.
I didn't wear mine after the pictures between the ceremony and reception.
@noritake22: That's a good idea. I never thought of keeping it on just for the first dance. I may do that, thanks! :)
I got married on Saturday and I wore my cathedral length veil all day. My hairdresser stuck it in so well I couldn't take it out without wrecking my hair! I ended up tying it in a knot so it didn't get stood on although it got ripped pretty much after our ceremony anyways!
I also have a Cathedral veil and think i'll definetly keep it on until we eat, if I can i'd like to perhaps keep it on until our first dance.

During photos before the ceremony and during the ceremony I know are a must but what about pictures after the ceremony? And the reception? What are you ladies doing?
