It's all going to depend how much needs to be done and how intricate your dress is. I didn't really need much done to mine other than the bust area and my bustle (yay!) and my first fitting took about 30min...but if you need the works, I'd say you'll be there about an hour-ish.
You can always call the place you're getting the alterations done and ask them, bc they block off the appointment for a set amount of time usually, so they'd be ale to tell you a more definite time. Good luck!
mine was about half an hour as well...although the only thing I had to get done was a bustle...hope this helps! :)
It takes slightly longer if they forgot you made an appointment (vent!), but once I got in the dress it took less than 30 minutes. I needed the top taken in, bra cups added, and the front hemmed.

How long should the first fitting appointment take? Mine is Saturday morning and I have a scheduled dance class that afternoon. I'm trying to see if I can possibly make both or if I should call and let the dance place know we won't be there this week. Fitting is at 10, class is at 12.
