My current day-off timeline has us arriving at our venue at noon and the ceremony starts at 2pm. The photographer arrives at 1:30 to do a *few* getting ready shots. When we arrive at the venue, we will already have hair/make-up done and will likely just need to get dressed. We will be bringing in lunch with us.
That leaves us with an hour and a half to eat lunch and get dressed. Why do I think this sounds like a crazy amount of time and we’re just going to be sitting around?
So, for all you recent brides – How long does ‘getting ready’ really take?

That sounds good to me, you wail want to have that time to just chill and talk and not feel rushed. Trust me that hour will fly by

That sounds like a good window of time! You’ll need a bit of time to retouch makeup after you get dressed and eat. Plus it’s always nice to have a bit of down time before the ceremony!

I think it’s a good window. Hair & makeup can run over- mine did by about 15 min. Which is really nothing, but *still*, I had a schedule, and had to stick to it! Bring some magazines, some music, and just relax. You could show up at 12:30 and still be fine.

I think that’s fine. Plus it give you time to relax with your girls. 🙂

I think it sounds perfect, too! Gives you some wiggle room in case hair/makeup takes extra time and it gives you a chance to relax and spend time with your girls. I’d be thankful for that extra time! 🙂

I think that’s good actually. It leaves you enough time to have a buffer in case hair and makeup takes too long, and it will probably be nice to relax and unwind and soak up the fact that you are about to get married!
