they don’t go bad or stale per ce, but they get less squishy if they conainter isn’t air tight and much less enjoyable as a result, so hold off if you can! However, we’ve had gummies open in a bag were still soft after a week (they were gone before they started to firm up). Can you do a trial?

Oh man, I’ve eaten gummies after they’ve been out for awhile….

I just lvoe me some gummie candies especially swedish fish. i notice they can dry out and get a little hard on the outside though. almost crusty but not quite. Sometimes i like them chewier though =]

It depends a lot on your weather as to when they would dry out or become uber gummie.  Id get the boxes ready to go and then in the few days prior – dole out the gummys!
