I’m new to this board and I’m curious to know how long it takes for a positive to show up on a pregnancy test?
I ask because I missed my period and during my ovulation window my husband and I had sex at least twice a day for over a week and then some. However, I can tell when my body is ovulating because I produce a ton of CM. But during my supposed ovulation window I felt completely dry and once my window ended thats when I felt incredibly wet from the CM. My period was supposed to start on Sunday and I spotted a tiny little pinkish/brown spot yesterday and that was it. I’m just wondering if its possible to ovulate later than you think you are? It’s all so confusing.. I did take a test on Saturday and it said no. So I have no idea what to think!
I have all the symptoms, nausea, heightened sense of smell (especially) and my boobs hurt like a mother (uncommon for me esp when I’m pmsing)
What do you all think?

@WagonWheel: I would think by the time your period is missed you’d get a positive. Some women never get a positive HPT though. It’s definitely possible you ovulated late and your cycle is longer this month so you haven’t missed your period yet. I’d wait a few more days and maybe go to the dr for a blood test. Good luck!

It does sound like you ovulated later than normal, which is totally possible (stress, diet changes, sickness, etc). If your period should have started on Sunday you should be safe to test now. I’d buy a first response test and test with first morning urine tomorrow morning. Then if it was negative, I’d wait until maybe Saturday to check again (this would be if you ovulated much later so your period would be later too).

Thanks for quick responses! I haven’t really been stressed out at work, I do eat and exercise regularly. I think I’ll take your advice @Schatzie821: =)

Oh boy. Sounds like you may have ovulated later, but that doesn’t mean that you couldn’t be pregnant. I would test now.
