Congratulations! I actually got married on 4/19 too! :)
Our photographer actually has our pictures ready as of Monday, we're picking them up tomorrow. She shoots film - I can't wait to see it.
I guess every photographer works under different timelines. And it depends on how many other shoots they are currently editing and planning. Ours only does 2 weddings a month, so she had a little more flexible schedule.
I hope they are ready for you super soon!!!
totally depends on the contract. Photographers are much faster, especially now with most being digital.
Video takes a lot of time and it should. The editing is the biggest part of the job. A quality edit (non-cookie cutter) is anywhere from 4-12months for turnaround.

just had my wedding 4/19/08 and was so thrilled with how it went, but we were so busy, we didn't take any pictures. i'm dying to see photos! how long did it take for you to receive your professional photos/video. my videographer contract says it could take months, and i don't want to put too much pressure on the photographer/videographer by asking for them sooner since i want them to feel comfortable exercising their artistic skills to the fullest.
