It really depends on your photographer and how busy they are and how much time they spend on editing. My photographer took about 1.5 months for my engagement pictures, and 4 months for my wedding pictures. It was well worth the wait, since his work is amazing. His timeline was also clearly stated in our contract, and I thought the wait was reasonable. :)
Thanks for the reply! That's kind of what I thought...I love her photos so for me 3 months wasnt a deal breaker, but I let my mom freak me out about it ( "this day and age it should take no more than 2-3 weeks! Blah blah blah" )
Ours were back in 2 months (with minimal editing). Our contract gave them up to six months to get us the images. From what I gather, 2-6 months is very normal, and some photogs list 12 months on the contract.
thanks! I am so not patient enough to wait a whole year! Haha
I'm not sure about wedding photos, but my photographer takes 2 weeks for engagement photos. She said it will be more like 3 or 4 for me, since she's off to Hawaii this week and won't be working.
Our photographer's contract says 4-6 weeks for the pictures to be ready for online viewing and another 2-4 weeks for any prints/albums.

...to get wedding photos after the wedding? My photographer said it could take up to 3 months for wedding photos, and 1-3 months for engagement photos (edited). I didn't think twice about that, but when I told my mom she was floored and said her friend's daughter got hers back within 3 weeks. So, is 3 months normal? Excessive? Any bee's experience would be great!
