My fiance bought the ring (ordered it), it came in a week later.  He was planning to give it to me on Christmas, but he literally could not wait.  He gave it to me 2 hours after picking it up!

Within hours after buying it. Some guys don’t normally wait months to propose after getting the ring.

It took 3 weeks for them to make it, then he waited another week or so for ideal timing.

He ordered the ring in January and proposed in February. They called him and told him it was in–not sure how I didn’t notice this phone call, since we were right next to each other when he got it! He proposed within an hour or two of picking it up from the store, haha.

Bought the ring in December. It was ready in February. We picked out the ring together and had to wait for it to be made. FI wanted it to be a surprise, so he gave the jeweler his mom’s phone number as a back up to his cell number so I wouldn’t know. The day it was ready, FI was at work and therefore unable to answer his cell. So they called his mom. She called our place. FI was home from work and in the shower so I took the call. She told me “Well, tell him Mappins called, the ring is ready”. We were both ticked she ruined it! The next day, when I got home from work, he was waiting with the ring. It was still special, even though I knew it was coming.

Ring was being made, it took 7 weeks.

A month before it was ready he asked. Wouldn’t change it for the world 🙂

5 weeks. I was not involved in the buyiNg so I didn’t know though. Most of my guy friends could barely wait a day- once they had it, it was like they wanted to propose within hours!!!!

He proposed the first time that he saw me after he got the ring.  He said he couldn’t wait because he felt like he was keeping a “secret” from me.  lol

Looks like a lot of us have FIs/DHs who just couldn’t keep the secret!  🙂

I personally would have liked to have some elaborate proposal, but it is SO sweet that my FI just couldn’t wait.  The jeweler (whom I know fairly well) called me the next day and said, “I KNEW he wasn’t going to be able to wait!  He almost cried when he saw the ring!” Lol

He bought the ring on his lunch break & proposed that evening at dinner.
