Just curious. For those who are still waiting, how long have you been with your SO? And for those who area already engaged...how long had you been together when he proposed? and how long have you been together now?
He proposed over our anniversary weekend--we were celebrating one year. Now we're coming up on two years and the wedding is three months away. (:
The Fi and I were together 1 yr and 4 months when he proposed!! Now its been a 1 and 9 months!
From a different perspective...my BFF has been with her Fi for 13 yrs before he proposed and they'll be celebrating they're 14 yr anniversary next month!
I was engaged before her...it was sad at first, but now we're both super excited to be planning together!
We've been together for 6 years, our anniversary is July 4th! I love that, its like everyone's celebrating with us! ;)
We were together 5.5 years when he proposed! We are coming up on 6 years at Christmas!
we were together about 2.5 years before he proposed... and that was in july, so now it's just over 2.5 years :)
We'll be together for a year on Oct. 22nd! He's waiting to propose til February so he can save for a ring, so we'll be together about a year and 4 months. We'll (hopefully) have a super short engagement and get married in August.
Going on 4... 4.5? years come December. We disagree as to when things started.
We had been together for about 3 1/2 years when he proposed! By the time we get married, it'll be right at 5 years.
We were together just over six months when he proposed, we've been together for almost a year now, and the wedding is in early December (we will have been together for just over 13 months). Like he said, he's been waiting 40 years for me, so he doesn't want to wait any longer.
We'd been together 5 years when he proposed, and we'll be together over 7 year by the time we get married. Time flies!
we will have been together(hope that's worded right :) for 5 years on Dec 11th 2009. the wedding is 1 year away from that date!
We were together 10 months when he proposed. By the time the wedding rolls around it will be 21 months!
We've been together 11 months. We were together 5 months when he proposed. We were talking about marriage at 2 months. It feels right and we both took a leap of faith.
On our wedding day, we will have been together 23 months.
My FI proposed on our 5 year anniversary & will get married 18 months later- so we'll have been together 6 1/2 years the day we get married.
FI proposed on our 10 year anniversary, on our wedding day we'll be 2 months shy of our 13th anniversary. time definitely flies!

I was with my husband 9 years 3 mos when he proposed. When we got married, we had been together just over 10 years! It was good timing for us though, since we got together when I was 18. We just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary Sunday...I guess we have to start the count over again!
We've been together 4 years and 10 months! He proposed 3 weeks ago :)
We met in July 3, 2007, started dating September 15, 2007, he proposed July 25, 2009 and we'll be married in May 2011. So we were together almost two years when he proposed :-)
We had been together a little over 4 years when we got engaged, and since we're getting married on our dating anniversary =) we will have been together exactly five years on our wedding day!
we were together a little under 4 when he proposed and we've now been together almost 4 1/2 years, we'll have been together just over 5 years when we get married next August!
My boyfriend and I have been together since May of 2006, so about 3 1/2 years, he has the ring and says I'll be engaged before October is over with (yay!!) and we're planning to get married January of 2011, so we'll be together almost 5 years when we get married.
@bridecat- haha, yeah us girls "waiting" after 9 years+ together are all in the same boat :) We started dating in high school too and I agree, the timing just works for us.
will you continue to celebrate your dating anniversary?? its so weird to start back at "1"
will be six years in December, so 6.5 years by the time we get married in July 
FI and I were together nearly 13 years when we got engaged and we'll be together nearly 14 when we get married next July.
it's been a little over 4 1/2 years so far. i'm just hoping we'll be in the same state soon! once that's accomplished it's all downhill towards marriage

6 years, but all of it except the last 8 months was long distance-- we live together now and things are great... so I'm hoping for a ring any day now!
We've been together a little over 2.5 years and I think I'll get a ring within the next few weeks!
Engaged after 6 years ... and surprisingly the timing now feels perfect. We could not be happier after all these years. And, we lived together happily for 3 years before he asked (the first year can be really really tough though).
he proposed when we were together for about 8 1/2 years, and we are getting married around the 10 year mark, hence our wedding date!!
My goodness ladies, some of yall are so freakin' patient!!
