Just wondering how long you and your FI were together before getting engaged, and how long your engagement is (or was)?
We dated for 10 months, and our engagement is 10 months.
Let's see...three months before we got engaged, and we'll have been together just under two years when we get married so that would make it a 20 month engagment.
We were together 5.5 years when we got engaged and we are having a year engagement and so now we have been together for 6.5 years! ;_D
We were together just under 2yrs when we got engaged and we will be together for about 3 1/2 yrs when we get married.

We're renewing our vows and having the ceremony we wanted then but went ahead with the marriage for other reasons that were needed.

Wow! Everyone's been in really long relationships. I've been with my SO for just over a year (1 year 1 month), and I'm currently waiting on an engagement. :D

When FI proposed we were together 4 years and 8 months. When we get married we will be together 7 years...
We dated for 3 months when we were 16, then got back together when I moved home from college in 2004. So... had been dating for about 5.5 years before he proposed and will have been together for 6.5 years once we get married :)

We have been together for almost 7 years. Our wedding will be 2 weeks before our 7th anniversary. Jeesh, thank goodness he proposed when he did, that's too much waiting for me!
we were together just under a year and a half when we got engaged..will be engaged for 11 months. short compared to most other posters, i guess!

2 years 8 months before he popped the question and 16 month engagement means we'll be married just 2 weeks after our 4 year anniversary :)

We were together for about 3 months before he asked me to marry him. Yep but for some reason I never took him seriously . . . well flash forward he's asked me pretty much everday for the past 6 years by the time we get married we'll have been together just under 7 years! (I guess I should have taken him seriously a little earlier)
