Just wandering how long us ladies have been "waiting"..
I'm 4 1/2 years... 5 Years in January.
I had been waiting 6.5 years when he proposed! (Sry, I'm not a "waiting" bee...) It was completely and totally worth the wait!
Wow. Now I feel bad for complaining about 4 1/2 years. But it still feels like decades.
6.5 years, now he finally graduated school so any day now (well, once he gets a job that is).
I'm married now but I had to wait 4.5 years before he got around to proposing. ;) Maybe your time is almost here!
I waited just over 5 1/2 years! And, it did seem like decades...looking back though, it seems like it flew by!
We were together 5.5 years when he proposed!
I'm glad I asked this question because I don't feel so bad for having to wait so long!!
Hahaha! I have had a fun and fast moving relationship with my BF, we're both GAGA over eachother and we have a good amount of dating experience, so we're already talking marriage (he has a ring!!!) at all of 8 months.
My parents were engaged at 3 months, married 6 months later (a total of 9 months from the day they met), and they have been together for 41 years! I guess when you know you know!
We've been together 4 years next week! We got engaged right at about 2.5 years in (I didn't feel like I was "waiting" when he proposed, it was a total surprise), we already lived together by that point too. :)
I was with my hubby for 1 yr 4 months before the proposal, but my BFF was with her man for 14 yrs before their engagement! Talk about patience!
One year in July. We've been talking marriage for awhile now, but we've decided it probably won't be feasible until 2012, so I don't consider myself "waiting" until around fall 2011. :)
We were friends for about a year, then we courted/dated for 6 months & became engaged. Married 5 months later. So we knew each other a total of 2 years.
I had been with NotFroofy for 9 years when we got married. However, most of the delay was not voluntary on our part. We had to wait for the law to catch up with us.
I "waited" 7.5 years until he proposed. Although, I was really only ready to be engaged starting at the 6 year mark. We'll be together for 10 years by the time we get married.
We were together for 7 years when he proposed :) We've been together since high school though so we were really just getting our lives together after I graduated college and got a job and moved in together.
We will have been together 3 years next week. Probably a solid nother year of waiting :o( Depressing but also good to know I'm not the only one waiting that long.
We waited a little under three years before we got engaged. I think I felt emotionally ready at the two-year point, but we weren't financially ready until closer to three years. The months in between were HARD!
We've been together 1yr and 6months. Not long, but I am 29, not a spring chicken anymore.LOL I've been waiting for a year. Yeah, he talked marriage so early I had to slow him down, now I wish he would speed it up!
8 years!!! But we met when we were only 16, so....... still waiting, but should be any time now :)
We met in college. We've been together about 6 years, the last 4 of those we've lived together. By our wedding we will have been together 7 years.
We got engaged after 6 months... we've been together a year now total and our wedding is in October.
However, we have known each other for 15 years as friends...so I think it sorta helped the process along a little faster :)
7 years at proposal but it will be 8 years at our wedding. We started dating when I was 15 and he was 17. :)
We dated for about 6.5 years before he proposed. So we were high school and college sweethearts.
I waited 6 years too! Dating since I was 15 and he was 17. Had to graduate and become real people first! It was worth the wait :)
we dated for almost four years before he proposed and it will be almost five when we are married. so worth the wait! i got to finish my master's, buy a house, get settled, etc. now it truly feels like "the next step".
FI and i were together a little over 4.5 years when we got engaged. i wasnt waiting though. when we get married we will have been together a little over 7 years!
We were together only 3 months before he proposed. We are about to be having our 10 month anniversary, and I am 6 months pregnant. I know, a lot going on there, but I love every moment of it! We are having a long engagement, and totally worth it. :)
We had been together 5 and a half years when we got engaged. On the 1st August will be our 6 year anniversary. When we get married next April we will have been together over 6 and a half years.
Of the almost 6 years we have been together we have lived together for 5 and a half.
We will have been together for 2 years on September 1st.
I got my proposal and ring at 4 months, but both of us consider it a "promise" ring. I know the actual marriage proposal isn't coming for at least another year and I'm perfectly okay with that right now :D
We've been together for 1 yr 9 months, and I'm hoping we'll be engaged sometime this winter. We met when I was barely 25 and he'd just turned 31, so neither of us wants to be dating for 4 or 5 years before we get engaged.
We've only been together almost 2 years, hopefully we'll be engaged around the 2.5 year mark!
Mr.FS and I have been dating for 5 years 2 mos.
Its starting to look like I should be engaged in the next 2 months!!!
