- Wedding: June 2014
So I emailed the resort that is our first pick last Monday, asking one simple question: Are you booked for June of this year and if not, what dates are still available? (We were willing to work around the resort’s availability hence not having a set date.)
I didn’t hear anything until an email yesterday around 4 pm from the “Catering Event Manager” at the resort. All she sent back was a video on the venue (which is nothing I haven’t already checked out on their website) and a one-page flyer for an “intimate wedding” that mentions nothing at all about guest accomodations, dinner for guests, dates available, etc. It looks like what you’d send someone who asked what the resort offers for a couple who is eloping.
I just feel like the customer service I’m getting from this catering manager is subpar, and that really concerns me. I don’t want to book a venue where the person I’m working with to coordinate everything takes a week to email me and can’t even answer my question the first time around. This is a destination wedding, so everything has to be done via email and phone. It’s not like I can just drive over there.
WWYD? We really like this venue, but not enough to sacrifice customer service. The other resort I emailed, a Four Seasons, hasn’t got back to me either and that was Thursday night.
Is this common?
