10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. My new job is actually farther away than my previous job, but takes about half the time to get to; new job I can pop on the highway, old job I had to drive through town and hit every stop light on the way.

It’s a 10 minute drive, or a 30 minute metro ride.  I usually metro to avoid wear and tear on my car!

An hour from door to door. I spend quality time with the metro each morning and evening.

And there is no public transportation where I live.  I commute from out in the sticks to a mid-sized town.  No metro, no bus, no train, no nothing.  Ugh!!

I love my job and where I live, but I despise my commute.  Every day it’s insane.  People flip each other the bird, scream at each other, get cut off.  In fact, I got called a bitch just this morning.  For the record, I just ignored the bastard who flipped me off and screamed at me because I want karma to bite his ass.  I’m not sure what people expect you to do in bumper-to-bumper, it’s not like I have any control over the drivers in front of me, dickhead.

@Sunfire:  I feel you; we have no public transportation, either. Well, we have a crappy, slow bus system, I guess if you want to count that. The buses don’t even run on Sundays, so they’re way useless.
