Mine was just a little shorter than the dress. I think that is what you want. My sister's was essentially floor length, and she kept getting her heel caught in it.

Hi hive!
I'm considering ordering my crinoline offline and am noticing that the "actual height" of these slips is in the neighborhood of 38"-40".
I am curious to know if this is considered a normal length/height? I'm 5'8. Is the crinoline supposed to be the same length of the dress? My dress is floor length.
Using a tape measure it seems this length would hover a few inches above my anklebone....not sure if this discrepancy in lengths would make any difference or not....
Any insight would be much appreciated!
