@jenewitt: It should say in your contract when you get them. I usually return images to my couples within 4 weeks.
My photog, although she is a very close friend has a clause in her contract that says 4-6 weeks ... BUT, she does these things on her FB page and website called "sneak peaks" and will normally edit and upload 2-3 pics initially and then over the next couple of weeks until you get your album and photos and stuff, she'll have about 20 uploaded.

Well we had all of the photos posted online for us within a few days of the wedding, so we got to see them all right away. He also sent me a file of all pics so I could share them online. However, we didn't get the actual photo release until our one year anniversary. I did just print some of the photos on printer paper from the computer file he had sent me to frame around the house though so it may sound like a bummer to wait for a release until one year but we really weren't deprived. The only downside was that our relatives had to wait to have their own copies if they didn't want the printed version.

So I'm super impatient when it comes to getting pictures. When we go out at night and a friend is taking pictures I'm expecting them to be on FB the next day....although that rarely occurs!!
How long did it take to get back your pro pics from your wedding? My photog is awesome and she did some really awesome poses with us and the wedding party and I'm SO anxious to see! But really, I need someone to ground me here so I know when is a realistic time to expect them.
