Preview pics were up in about a week and they were all online within a few weeks. I had my album about a month and a half after the wedding (he designed it).
I think my contract states she has 6 weeks to get me final digital images on disc (that's all I'm getting). I think some previews will be on her blog 1-2 weeks after the wedding though.
I wouldn't worry after 3 weeks. Maybe after a month you could shoot them an email gently asking the ETA on the pics (if your contract doesn't say). But I wouldn't want to make them rush and do a crappy job editing.
It depends on the photographer's workflow and schedule. It could be 1-2 weeks to see the online proofs, it could be 3-4.
Three weeks is average, but, if you are curious you should ask for teasers. :)
It was stated in our contract that they will get us everything we'd ordered in 8 weeks. We got a couple teasers emailed to us while we were on our honeymoon, then a slideshow and blog post went up on their website after about a week and a half. They called us a few days short of 8 weeks to say everything was ready for pickup.
My contract says 8 weeks. I've heard of some being longer depending what extra stuff you want printed and if it's peak season. Everyone I talked with said they at least give proofs within a few weeks.
hey i would recommend these guys to the photographer, i believe the images would be processed even faster.

it really depends on the size of the studio and their workload...if they have 1-2 people processing images from 10 weddings since they have 20 photographers and videographers it could take upwards to 8-12 weeks. That is what a larger scale studio told me. I went with a smaller company, owned by a soon-to-be Husband and Wife team and they will get me online images within 2 weeks and DVD within 2-4 weeks. Albums vary for all studios and that includes theirs as well.

I'm curious how long is normal to wait for photos from your photographer? I don't want to seem impatient by inquiring too early but I also would like to give a nudge if possible. It has been three weeks. Am I being impatient?
