Mine was wayyy shorter than I anticipated it would be, shockinly so, actually!  I had my IUD removed at the end of Jan and we decided to wait a month to see when AF arrived so I’d have an “idea” when I would ovulat. AF came Feb 23.  I punched in the info on my iphone app and it told me I should be fertile around March 7-12.

March 26 no AF so I tested and got a BFP!  So we got BFP on our first try.  No charting or temping.  We were both shocked b/c I am “older”, 36 and we thought it would take at least 4-6 mos to get a BFP.

Good luck in your journey!

We weren’t preventing for 2 months, then we tried with the ovulation sticks and elevating my butt and got pregnant on the first try.

@mrsedwardslpn:  The Ovulation predictor kits detect a LH surge. This surge normally happens 24-72 hours before ovulation. It doesn’t mean however that you are actually ovulating. The only way to confirm that on your own is by temping.

We have been actively trying for 10 cycles with no success.

Good luck.

We’ve been without protection since May 2009, actively TTC since Sept. 2011. I see you’ve started several threads about IVF, Clomid, etc. And my advice would be to start charting (pick up the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, if you don’t have it) and give yourself a good 6 months of charting and using OPK’s and if your still not pregnant, then see your doctor.

I wish I could say it’s been an easy process, but for some of us, it just takes time.

Good luck!!

I’ve been TTC since September and am not pregnant.  I use OPK’s but don’t chart my temperature.

Just going off what mrsedwardslpn said up above, doctors around here won’t do anything about it until you’ve been trying for one year unless you are of “advanced age”.  Not sure what advanced age would be but I don’t qualify, I’m 28 and have to wait until I’ve been TTC for one year before they will do any testing/refer to the fertility clinic.

We were NTNP from October, 2011 to July, 2012 and actively trying from August, 2012 to date.  I started charting my temp the last 3 cycles and I used OPKs only for two cycles.  We still havent hit the nail yet, but FX it happens soon for all the girls on the TTC board and of course for you! :)))))

I went off BCP in August 2012 and got pregnant in January 2013.  Actively trying the whole time.
