February 17th (fell in love) 2.5 months from first date
August 30th (moved in together) 8.5 months from first date
December 17th (proposed to me) 1 year 11 days from first date
July 15th (married!) 2.5 years from first date with a 19 month engagement
Both of our parents (all divorced and remarried) married within like three months of dating, so he knew I wasn't all keen on marriage (love yes, marriage..eh) and placed a "no asking" rule of one year on his proposal. By the time one year rolled around, I was so excited about marriage. He made me sweat it for eleven more days though.
Let's see... we've been dating for 5 1/2 yrs before he proposed. And by the time we get married this September we will have hit our 7yr anniversary the day before we wed.
We have been best friends for about four years, but we had been dating "officially" for 11 months before getting engaged. By our wedding, we will have been engaged for seven months.
Here's a fun fact: my parents only KNEW each other for eight days before they got married. Yes, eight DAYS. They've been married for over twenty years now.
We were dating 1 yr & 1 month when we became engaged. We haven't finalized the date yet but we will have been engaged either 1 year 11 months & 10 days or 1 year and 7 months.
September 23, 05 (first mini date- thanks match.com) We didn't see each other or really talk to each other afterwards, I was dating around and he wasn't very into the idea of non-exclusivity, so we parted ways, but one day I thought to my self "I really liked this guy, we should go out again" So I called him and asked him out to a comedy club. We went there and to the MOST ROMANTIC "dinner" afterwards.
November 23, 05 (first REAL date see above)
June 17, 06 He told me he loved me, and I said it back.
June 16, 07 We moved in together.
November 2, 07 We got engaged on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in DC.
December 6th (first date)

November 2006, he told me he loved me, I told him he was crazy.
January 2007, decided he was good for me and opened myself up to the idea.
March 2007, totally fell in love with him.
May 2007, moved into his place.

We got engaged April of 2007 (so about 9 1/2 years after getting together)
We're marrying August 2008. Our engagement period will be about 16 months.

We would have gotten engaged and married sooner if we could have, but we had to finish college (our schools were an hour apart).
