We’re eloping and my FI will be doing the button loops so our photog can get pictures of that magical getting ready moment and do the “First look” pics all in one swoop (since time is short – 45 minutes!)
So how long does it take? Here’s my dress again…. not a billion buttons, but enough to be concerning!
thanks in advance!

It took me about 5 minutes to do my friends? She had a little more than you. Bringing a crochet hook could speed it along though, I’m sure.

@MrsTVLover: not nearly as long as what I assumed! thanks (:

@princess-pea: Totally off question, but I was wondering, with your dress, do you have an internal corset with the dress?

Yep, not more than 5 minutes, and I second the recommendation of a crochet hook! I did my friend’s up when I was a bridesmaid and it was a lifesaver! Just make sure you have it around when you want to take it off, I forgot to send it with my friend and her husband didn’t want to undo them all that night after the wedding because it was so difficult!

ditto the crochet hook, advice from the dress store. Get a few pictures with your mom/maids/sisters/whoever buttoning it and then crochet hook it up!

@honeyt: no internal corset. the boning is just really thick! I did try on a gown with an internal corset and it felt ah-mazing, but my gown fits so well it feels like it has one!
@sah612: We will definitely invest in one! sadlY I will only be wearing my gown for at most 2 hours on the day since we will be running for the plane right afterwards, but whatever makes the process faster is perfect!
@MsGinkgo: yes! love this idea. (:
