I am a destination bride. The FI and I will be leaving for Jamaica on the 20th. I am not sure WHERE my wedding is (the FI planned the wedding) but I think it's at Royal Plantation in Ochos Rios.

I CAN'T SAY THAT I AM A DESTINATION BRIDE YET! BUT I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A DESTINATION WEDDING WHENEVER MY BF POPS THE QUESTION! :-) BUT FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T WED YET...PLANS! SO I AM HELPING 2 OF MY BRIDES PLAN WEDDINGS IN THE VIRGIN ISLANDS AND GREECE...EXCITING BUT ALOT OF WORK!

I'm planning a destination wedding in Oregon (we live in Ohio). I love the beach, but not a fan of the hot weather...so Oregon in October. :)

I have to say hello (since I'm newly officially engaged) and add that our wedding will be a destination wedding (even if it's in ATL) b/c everybody coming is from somewhere else!
I'm still here and still getting married in Yosemite! I've just been really inactive with the planning for a while...a 2 yr engagement is just exhausting 
DW here too!! We are from Upstate NY and getting married at Walt Disney World.
YAY I'm official now, (as of tonight,) planning a DW in Key Largo, June 2011!!
My wedding is on Mackinac Island in Michigan but it is a destination (4 hours...) for me and for all of our guests.
I guess we would be considered destination! We live in NH, getting married in NYC, 9.18.2010!

I'm a DW bride! Currently living in Sweden but planning our wedding in Italy for 6/2/2010 with my mom's help from TX...can't get more destination than that! I've done a ton of research on photographers in the Tuscan/Umbrian region of Italy if anyone wants help! :)
We are getting married in Hawaii in May . I have to say I'm totally lost and have no idea what I'm do but it still fun ! If any others planning this destination I'd love to see what kind of idea's you have.

I don't know if I'm considered "active" anymore, but I had a destination wedding over Thanksgiving weekend in San Juan Puerto Rico and am so happy I did! Hope to post some pics soon...

Hi! I'm a destination bride too! We're getting married at The Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico on April 24, 2010 and I LOVE the forum: bestdestinationwedding dot com/forum. There are TONS of destination brides for many specific locations, even down to the same resorts! I love it! You should check it out if you get a chance.
I'm a mini-DW in Sedona (we live in Phoenix and everyone else lives in many other states) so while we're not having ours in the Caribean or anything fancy like that we are having it kind of in the middle of nowhere :o)
Since my FI is from California and I am from Oklahoma but we are residing in Missouri and our family is everywhere we just decided that Vegas would be a very fun and neat place to have everyone meet up for the wedding, plus it is a little more traveler friendly that either of our small hometowns that are 2-4 hours from the closest airport.

Hey everyone! Living in Orange County, NY but having a St Maarten wedding May 5, 2010! It just got WAY too expensive - and the caribbean scenery sure beats out the local one ;)
We are doing a sort-of destination, weekend wedding thing. Neither FI nor I are from Northern California, so the only people we know here are recent friends. Therefore 80% of our invitees are out of town. We decided to have the wedding on the North Coast, so it is a 5 hour drive from Sacramento. Any no one is local to our location.
I would love to see how to include guests in more activities over the weekend, and how to make them feel welcome.
Love reading about all of the DW brides out there!! Seriously, it was the BEST decision we made.
