I think 2 a day is a good move, the last thing you want is to be sick of dresses or over-whelmed and because of tiredness miss one that you love!
Good choice (and good luck and HAVE FUN)
PS Try things on you wouldn't normally, honestly nearly everyone I know ended up buying a wedding dress that they never would have picked out of a magazine, but the way they look ON you is what matters, not how they look on the rack.
2 a day is PERFECT. You don't want to be overwhelmed. I did that with my BM and it was great. We had lunch in between. HAVE FUN!!!
I would say to consider how picky you are, the stock of the stores, and how far away from each other they are. I did three pretty easily in one day, but I had pre-selected some to try on at David's, and one of my shops was a consigment place with limited options. If you are going in with a strong sense of what you want, you'll need less time. If you're open to more styles, two a day sounds about right!
I went to three, but by the time I got to the third store, I'd found my dress already. I looked around, but they were running way behind schedule for my appointment and I left without trying anything on.
i agree with others, two is good.
trying on dresses is actually quite a work out, i found myself feeling really exhausted after the first one.
The most I did in a day was 3, but it does get a little overwhelming. Atfer a while the dresses start to blend into one another.
I actually did four in one day when my mom was here for the weekend from the west coast. It was a long but fun day. I scheduled them two hours apart (one at 11, then 1, 3, and 5) and it worked pretty well. We had time for a quick lunch between #1 and #2, but they were right up the street from one another.
Have a great time, and as others have said, try on things you usually wouldn't! :)
I live 500 miles away from my Mom so my MOH and I have been slowly going to different shops (mind you I have a TON of time, haha) so that in a few months I'll have a narrowed down list of places that I'm seriously considering to go to with my Mom. But 2 in a day doesn't sound overwhelming at all! I don't think I would want to do much more then that though, I would feel rushed, and the last thing you want when you're picking out the most important dress you'll ever wear in your life is to feel rushed!

I don't live by friends or family but my mom is coming to visit soon and I wanted to go dress shopping. We'll have two days to shop but I'm not sure how many appointments to make. I was thinking 2 a day for a total of 4. One in the morning, break for lunch and then one in the afternoon. Does this sound right? I don't want to be rushed or overwhelmed but if I don't find a dress while she is here I will have to shop and decide by myself.
