How many bridesmaids are you having in your bridal party? The biggest number I have seen is 10 (and that was only on youtube) Im having three in mine, seemed like a cruisy number
I'm having 4. This was more than I was initially expecting and when I've told people I have 4 bridesmaids people have been like "Woah! That's a lot!". I have my two sisters, my best friend in the world and another really close friend who pulled the whole "If I'm not a bridesmaid I'm gonna be so devastated!" thing. Turns out she's been fantastic but it was a bit full on at the time! LOL
I'm having 4, my two sisters, and two closest friends. I didn't want to have more than 4, because I was in a wedding last year that had 7 BMs, 2 junior BMs, and 2 flowergirls, plus 7 groomsmen and a ringbearer, plus the bride and groom. The photographer had to zoom out to get pictures of all of us! It was just ridiculous.
I have 6 but wish I had less, it really does make it hard with all the planning for the day of.
It has been awesome though because each one has helped me in their own way.
None! We are having it in my hometown and barely anybody can come for the groom's side. It would be really hard to choose my bridesmaids and I'd end up with like 10, whereas my groom wouldn't even have one to choose from.. It would be like a slap in the face, I feel.
I am having 6, including my maid of honor. Haven't had any problems with having such a large number yet!
Im having 5 including my MOH.I have a HUGE familly and I could have easily chosen at least 3 more....so its my sister, my two cousins and two good friends :)
I'm having 7. I have 4 sisters, and my three closest friends. Having my sisters was a given, and I couldn't have chosen between my three friends so I'm having them all. I haven't had any problems. It's actually been really nice because they all have helped with one thing or another. I have a massive family, so the wedding party is huge. My two brothers are also groomsmen. My two nephews are ring bearers, plus his two nephews. And my flower girl is my niece.
I have 5 and 1 jr. BM. I too have regrets about asking at least two of the BMs.
3. I didn't want many, but I definitely can think of 3 more who I would include if we decided to go bigger. Actually, 4 more.
I feel like as soon as I open it up to another 'level' of friends/relatives, it seems to grow exponentially.
I really wanted 4 including my MOH, but the way the numbers shake out, I'll be at 5. For whatever reason that one extra person makes me feel like the party is too big, but there's a group of 3 close friends where I can't really include one without the other, plus my FSIL, and then my MOH (a cousin).
5 including my MOH- I don't have a sister, but my FI does so it's his sister (and my brother is a groomsman), 2 friends from college, a friend from after college and a cousin. I only have 1 girl cousin on one side of my family so it was an obvious choice
I have 6 - my sister (MOH), my FSIL, and 4 of my best friends. Three of those four friends, there is no way I could have one without the others so 5 was the minimum I could have gone with the bridal party. I've had no problems with it though and its the same size party as two others weddings I've been in and it worked out/looked great!
5 BMs and 1 MOH... wanted only 4 total, but I couldn't pick just 4!
Right now 3: my sister, my FSIL (FI's sister), and my best friend. I am toying with the idea of adding one more, but I am waiting it out! The good thing is she doesn't know that I have asked anyone outside of sisters, so she won't feel "second-rate" so to speak.
In conclusion, lol, this poll was perfect for me because it'll be 3 or 4 :)
I have 6. In some ways, I wish I had kept it lower, but all 6 women are really important to me and its going to be a blast sharing this with them.
i have 5.5....2 sisters are my MOH's, 1 sister is a jr bridesmaid (shes the .5 haha), and then my 3 best friends. i entertained the idea of adding one more, but decided against it...it's a lot, but there was no way i could have cut any of them out.
I have six total: five BMs and one MOH. Seems like a happy number to me. :)
i have 5 including MOH (who is my sister) i could have done just 3 if it was up to me, but eh. dont have that choice i guess.
I have 7. That is including my sisters who are co-MOH's. I have not had any trouble with any of them. I am so happy to have all of my best friends be part of my day.
6. My MOH grew up across the street from me and was my babysitter (10 years older than me) and I love her like crazy. Then my 2 SIL's (hubs sister, and bro's wife) and then three really close girlfriends. It was perfect for me. They were all from different parts of my life (there were only two who knew each other well before my wedding).. but they were all amazing. They worked so well together and went above and beyond for me planning an amazing shower and bachelorette. These days I think it's almost better for the BM's if there are a larger number because parties have gotten so expensive and it's nice to have a large group to share the costs with (as long as none of them are crazies). I didn't regret asking any of them... they were truly incredible throughout the whole process.
I am having 5 + 1 jr BM (my 12 y/o niece) Initially I only wanted 1, my sister.
FH's feelings were hurt about a year ago when one of his closest friends didn't include him in his wedding (long story short, his close friend thought FH would be inconvenienced since he lives 1300 miles away...) As a result FH didn't want to leave out any of his close friends....We will have 6 witnesses standing on each side!!!!
I will have 1 MOH (sister) and 5 BM's (4 best friends and FSIL).
I'm having 9 girls and 2 flower girls.
My cousin Lindsay had 13 girls and 3 flower girls!
I'm planning on having 4. I haven't asked anyone yet, though. My FI and I were originally going back and forth between 3 and 4. Then we decided to go with 3 because we knew exactly who those would be. But whenever I see pictures of 4 BMs, I think it looks nice and even (2 lined up on each side). I just found out that one girl who I wanted to be in the wedding just got a new job and I feel better about asking her now that I know she can afford it. So now I'll definitely be asking 4 girls, but we'll see if they all accept. I feel kinda silly wanting 4 girls for "the look" but at least I'm not just picking some random friend as a placeholder. It just happened to end up working out the way I want now that she has a job (if she didn't, I would have just asked 3).
7. MOH is my sister and 1 and I have FSIL and then 5 of my best friends. It has been really great for me. Everyone has been super involved and supportive. I couldn't ask for better girls!
