I have 7 total. 2 MOHs and 5 BMs.  I love my girls, but now realize that the bigger the party the more the cost!  But, if I had to choose all over again, I’d probably make the same choices (although one is kinda an obligatory – wife of Best Man and I was one of her BMs).

So funny, because I’m the total opposite.  I’ve been a bad bride and have been slacking on doing the work.  I only just sent them their group email so they have each other’s contact information!  I kept on telling myself, I’ve got time..

I didn’t really want any more than 4 and I have my MOH, and 3 bridesmaids so it works out great. I only wanted those closest to me to be standing up there with me. I didn’t want to be a “fake wedding friend” type of person. I went to a wedding in July and the girl had 10 BM’s! She wasn’t even close to all of them, like 3 were “fake wedding friends” who she just needed to be fillers. NOT my idea of fun.

I actually made an appointment for this weekend to go with them to get their dresses and we’re going out for drinks afterwards, that way I will have a piece of mind that they have all gotten their dresses, especially because they are on clearance and will be discontinued soon.  I have 5 bms

I also have four…one MOH and three BMs. I was debating adding two more BMs, because they’re part of the same “group” as two of my current BMs, but I decided against it, because I didn’t want to feel pressured to HAVE to include anyone. If I’m not close with them, I don’t think they should be standing up with me.

@Lees4308…I forgot to mention the girl also had 2 junior BM’s and 2 flower girls! INSANITY. The wedding party pics are ridiculous.

I have 4 total. I wanted to keep it small.
my 2 sisters, best friends as MOH, and a close friend that I know will be in my life until the end 🙂

I have 2 and am very happy with that decision. Less to spend on everyone and it works for me 🙂

I will be having 4 BMs….My sister (MOH), best friend since grade school (MOH#2) and two of my closest college friends..I had thought about adding a 5th girl so it wouldn’t seem odd to have 2 MOHs, but I really wouldn’t want to add someone just to add them…I have friends, but none that I am as close to as the ladies that will be standing with me.

My FI on the other hand is having issues with his GM…he has 2 certain participants.  He had 3, but one of the guys is the younger brother type and they are sorta MIA (i think he may have gotten in trouble with the law…eeek)  I don’t want to push him to figure it out because I am sure he wishes he had guys he was closer to to ask (I Love You Man style all the way).  On the plus side I have 4 brothers who are all willing to stand by his side, so that is another option for us.
