Our wedding is 54 people and we’re just doing 1 witness each (my cousin and his brother). I couldn’t get away with less than 4 each without causing drama in my family so I scrapped the whole idea. I’m super happy I did it.

I couldn’t image having a small wedding with a crowd of attendants. I didn’t want 20% of the guests to be in the wedding party. JMO though.

If you & your Fiance each have 4 attendants, that means 20% of your wedding will be in the bridal party.  That’s a heck of a lot!

I heard of an old fashion guideline was 1 bridesmaid for every 50 guests.  But these days, I think you should do whatever you want!

And the whole uneven # thing is not a big deal!

My wedding will have about 20 guests, and I’m having 1 moh, and 5 bridesmaids. 3sisters and 3 sisters in law. There will be three groomsmen.  It’s going to be very intimate with only immediate family, so I don’t mind that the most of our guests are in the wedding party.

we have 125 people and our wedding party is uneven.

bride side

1 Maid/Matron of Honor, 2 bridesmaids, 1 bride’s attendant (my brother)

groom side

1 best man, 4 groomsman.

for a wedding of 50ish people, i would do 2 at the most on each side. if you want to honor other people, can you give them other jobs like handing our programs, escorting special guests to seats, readings, etc

We’ve got about 85 people coming and we’re having 3 BM’s and 3 Groomsmen. I think more than that would be too much.

I would say 2 if you’re wanting to keep the bridal party on the smaller side

I had 3 (2 Bridesmaid or Best Man 1 MOH) with about 80 guests. But I don’t give a crap about pictures looking even, that seems a little silly to me (I know everybody has their things that bug them though), I just chose them because they were the only 3 people in the world that I’ve known almost my entire life and I am confident I’ll still know and love on my deathbed, which was my personal criteria, not pictures.

For a wedding of 50 people I would think two would be sufficient, three max.

I had a wedding of 130 people and had three (MOH and two BMS) and my Darling Husband had three as well (BM and two GM). I am personally not a fan of a never ending line of wedding attendants…at some point it just gets ridiculous.

I am having a smaller wedding with 50 people as well..I’m having 3 bridesmaids and 1 moh… Originally my fh only wanted 3people on each side but I couldn’t leave out any of my 4 ladies so 4 it is.
