How big are the patties? 1/4 lb? What kind of fat content? Just wondering, since some brands shrink down a bunch more than others, and then the guys will wolf down 2 at a time! I think 180 is pretty safe if you have good sides :-). Any veggie burgers for the vegetarians?

1.25 per person but I would round up to 150 to be safe but 180 sounds good if you know a lot of people who will eat more than 2.

I’d plan for 1.5 per person.

I work with 90 guys and 5 girls, and anytime we do BBQ lunch, most of the guys routinely eat 2 burgers, so I’d say adjust if your guest list is at all skewed by gender.

Most girls probably only eat 1, but guys probably 2. If your guest list is evenly split guys/girls I’d do 1.5 per person so you’re bang on at 180 for 120 people.

Looking at your username I’m guessing you may have a large contingent of young healthy physically active men.  I fear running out of food, so I estimate generously, but I think I’d look at the guest list allow 1.25 for women, and probably 2 per male.   If your guest list is split 50/50 male and female I think you’re close at 180, but if you have room in your freezer I might make a few more.
