I am doing 1 box per person. I figure I'll have leftover boxes, but it is better to have extra than to be short.
Also, depending on the box size, maybe you can do 1 per couple or something...
I have no idea - but I would ask your bakery what their experience has been. I haven't actually thought about providing people with a way to take cake home, but our bakery has been really helpful as far as things like the relative amounts we should have of our different flavors, as they know what tends to get eaten more (and less).

I will have a wedding cake, assorted desserts, and a candy buffet. I realize that not everyone will be eating their cake at the reception. I was wondering how many boxes I need. Should I have one for every guest? I feel if I do that, there will be a lot left over. Any suggestions are welcomed.
