Okay so we are foregoing uplighting for a number of reasons ranging from FI absolutely hates them, to keeping costs down. FI and I have agreed on lots of candlelight instead to keep things feeling intimate and romantic.
Of course I think that means we need a WHOLE LOT of candles. We are having long rectangular 8 foot tables. There will be one oblong floral centerpiece in the center, and two larger candles on either side of that. I’d like smaller candles to run the remaining length of the table (set on the tablerunner).
My question is how many candles to order for that super candlelit look? I originally wanted a mismatched, varied height look but I think it might look too cluttered and/or be too expensive, so I will probably go with votives. At this point I’m thinking 12 votives per table – 6 on either end – but am not sure if that’s going to be enough.
Anyone have any advice or thoughts? Thanks!
