We’re not having a ‘catered’ drink reception. Instead, we’ve got a bunch of 3/4 gallon beverage dispensers that will be providing tea, lemonade, juice, and water. Next to those in large white buckets (from hobby lobby! <3 ) we’re serving cans of soda.
Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, and Mountain Dew (only those three)
For a 4 hour reception, dancing (for about 2 hours) on a hot July evening, how many cans of soda do you think you would drink?
Also, would you drink more of a certain kind?

Personally, I don’t drink soda. But DH is addicted to MTD and would probably drink 3. I w ould stick to the tea and water 🙂

I never drink soda, only non carbonated drinks (preferrably hot tea or coffee). FH would drink two to three mountain dews.

I’d probably drink one Diet Pepsi for the caffeine kick, then switch to water or tea or lemonade. If it’s hot and I’m dancing, I’d want something that would hydrate me, and soda doesn’t.

I’d drink 3-4. More if I danced a lot. I like pop so much more than other beverages. I’d drink diet pepsi and mountain dew.

I would drink ginger ale. But that might not be the most popular choice. I like it because it is caffiene free!

I would have anywhere from 1-3. My step dad would easily have 8.

I put 1-2 put I might have 3. Depends no what types, how hot it was, if I danced, etc.

I would probably have 1-2 soda/lemonade type drinks (probably lemonade or sprite since it will be hot out, I think people drink less cola in hot weather) and 1-2 waters, but I know people who would probably have 5

When I was pregnant I was only drinking caffiene free things like Sprite, Fanta, Ginger Ale, and root beer. But usually I want to drink a cola (Coke or Pepsi or Big K, I’m not partial) when I can drink caffiene. Especially for a wedding, I want to have the energy to dance and I always want to counter the wine I usually had with dinner.

I’m addicted to soda! I can down one a few minutes after its set down…especially if it’s served on ice with a straw.

At my sisters wedding, we had a cash bar but open soda. One family went out and bought thier own bottle of captain morgan….and my family had to pay their huge soda bill!!

@heathaah: lol, that sucks! I feel assured no one is going to bringing in their own alcohol. If they try, I’m kicking them out myself.

I wouldn’t drink any because I don’t drink soda…ever.

DH and i dont drink soda but i would say have enough for 2 sodas per guest. It seems you have a lot of “other” options. Also, I suggest having more diet than other regular options…not many ppl drink regular soda.
