I am having around 65 ppl at the reception, I will have a small candy/nuts station too. I am having about 6-7 different selections. I think that number of selection should increase with the amt of ppl in your party. If you can manage it, maybe count on 1 selection per 10-15 ppl?? So maybe 15 different types of candy?? Just throwing it out there.
the coordinator i am using does these all the time and she suggested at least 7 for my150 guest so u realy don't have to increase the types based on guest u just need to make sure there is enough... we are actually using closer to 12 types though.
Hope that helps

So I know that a candy buffet is starting to become a common place in weddings and it will be a big focal point at ours. Our reception is a dessert reception, it is very late in the evening and all guests will have had plenty of time to have a sit down dinner before the ceremony. The only foods we will have are sweets ie. cake buffet, candy buffet, cookie buffet. (have you gained 3 lbs just reading? lol) So my question is this: How many different types of candies should I have available. I don't want to know WHAT types (trust me, my friends and I looooove candy so we have long list) but I need to know if I should go through it with an editing eye or if I should add more to the list. So if you've had a candy buffet or been to a wedding that had one, what do you think is a good number of candy types for a reception with 200 guests. Thanks in advance, Bees!
