I’ve been working on our registry since last night at Bed Bath and Beyond online, but I was thinking about registering somewhere else as well, just not sure where. Bed Bath and Beyond has most things being on the pricey side, and I know some guest wouldnt want to waste so much money on something that isnt even going to be theirs! Tell me, did you just register at one place or several? Where did you register at? Thank you in advance! 🙂

We have two. REI and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Was gonna do Target as well but I’ve heard bad things about their registries.

I’m doing three, which seems like a lot but I think it’s okay because it helps to spread out the range of $ and allows people to have more of a choice to pick where they go… I did mine at Target (hoping for the best, I just love their prices & stuff & can’t help myself!), Macy’s for some kitchen/bedding stuff, and Bed Bath & Beyond for fancy plates & kitchen gadgets/bathroom misc. I’m doing this way too early just for fun really so most of the things I’ve picked will be gone by the time I should start doing it for real 🙂

JC Penney, Bed Bath & Beyond and Target. My family doesn’t have the last two near them, but they do have JC Penney, which would be easier for the elderly guests to get to (and I LOVE their towels). Bed Bath and Beyond is pretty much everywhere, and Target fills in the gaps.

We did 3~ Williams~Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, and Cutco Knives (only online). They were each pretty small and mostly things under $100 except for the knives…those were pricey but my Darling Husband really wanted them and we agreed before the wedding we’d buy whatever we didn’t get off that registryonly. I think our WS and CB registries had 75 things between the two. We invited 225 people and ended up getting everything we asked for except for 3 Le Crueset pieces from WS. I plan to get them at the outlet nearby sometime soon. I think the reason wegot pretty much everything was because I ended up with 2 showers and a lot of FI’s work friends gave us boxed gifts. I’m super grateful for our generous family and friends.

@nursemel: I was thinking about doing Target, but now that you say that I’m not so sure I should.
@Ms.Sugarsnap: I like that you have different options for your guest, especially the ranges in pricing! I hope they all work out for you 🙂 and you’re right by then most things will be gone, but you have plenty of time to add/remove items!
@laurn88: I see Target is very popular! I was going to stick to BBB only, but now I think I should add at least one more!
@MrsPaulsBabyBallerina: Wow thats so great that you got practically everything you asked for! 🙂 I’m not too sure I will since the weddings I’ve been too people dont seem to take many gifts, but its worth a try!

We’re doing three: BBB, Target, and Crate and Barrel.
BBB for good kitchenware
Target for electronics and other things
Crate and Barrel for pretty household things.
I’ve got to say that Target has been nothing but a headache so far. I haven’t had that much experience with them since nothing has been bought off of that registry yet, but the website design makes it very hard for me to reach my registry and its cluttered and drives me nuts. On top of that, it’s been down several times when I wanted to add things. I don’t think it was my internet because other websites were working.

@allegrovivo: oh goodness, that sounds horrible! I was going to start on Target, but I’ve changed my mind, I rarely go to Target either way so I’ll look somewhere else. Thanks for that info! I would have hated to be having so many problems like that!

We’re doing Target, Macy’s, and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I’ve had no problems at all with my Target registry (only a few items have been purchased but I have had no real issues with the site), and I’ve never heard anyone complain. Target gave us some coupons for registering in store- some coupons for everyday items like toothpaste, 10% off Target bridesmaid dresses and a $20 giftcard to Shutterfly plus a book with a checklist. They also have the registry completion program where you get 10% off for one day after the wedding to use on anything left on the registry.
I’ve actually had much more of a headache with the BBB. It’s slow and you have to delete things section by section. Plus they made us follow around an associate for an hour and a half so she could tell us the best things to register for (Read: expensive things, things that aren’t our taste, and things we will NEVER use). I wound up deleting a third of the things at home (which took forever!). Plus we got no benefits and the completion programs are CRAZY- like if you complete $600 of some brand they give you a $10 cookbook.

We registered at 3 places – Williams & Sonoma for a set of knives and pots and pans, and two other places for dishes and other misc kitchen/entertaining things. We care a lot about the environment, so we didn’t want all of our gifts to be made of plastic in a factory abroad… So the other two places we registered were VivaTerra and AreNaturals.

FI’s parents specifically asked that we register at three places: somewhere more upscale, somewhere more mass-market, and somewhere middle-of-the-road. So, we did Williams-Sonoma, Target, and Macy’s. The upscale v. mass-market thing is pretty arbitrary as far as I’m concerned, since the price ranges on our registries largely overlap, but the in-laws were happy. They felt it gave people a good range of options about where they wanted to go.

We’ve started registries at Macy’s, Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrell. I may add a 4th depending where I find my china (most likely Bloomingdales). Who knows though. I’m procrastinating on the registry stuff as long as possible!

We initally did 3- Macys, Bed Bath and Beyond and Target. I was a little scared about Target after hearing horror stories. I was also having a BUNCH of problems with stuff at Target constantly being out of stock. My sister forgot to put Target on the bridal shower invites so I decided that it was a sign to just delete the Target registry and save myself from any trouble. I was kind of bummed because I LOVE Target but oh well.
So far all of the gifts that have been purchased have been from Bed Bath and Beyond. My “suprise” shower is in a little under 2 weeks.

We registered at four: Macy’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, Crate & Barrel, and Sears. Although, we only had a small tool registry at Sears, so I’m not sure that really counts.
We had a big guest list, so this gave guests plenty of choices in terms of price and selection based on where they like to shop. For example, our friends preferred to shop at Crate & Barrel while our parents friends preferred Macy’s.
