I doubt you will offend him! Mine had a variety of pictures to choose from for our engagement pictures. I think we only had about 70 pictures from an hour of shooting.
From our shoot that was about a hour and a half we had 86 pictures and I think probably about 20 that we will actually use.
I was going to say 145 is a lot for an e-session. I think the MOST I ever gave was about 150, maybe 200? And that couple just happened to have a perfect day for shooting. I doubt your photog is holding out on you. Keep in mind we shoot really hi-res images, so I would just go through the ones you have and find one you like your faces in. You can crop pro pics pretty significantly and still get a decent print. That is of course if the photog hasn't already cropped them before giving them. Good luck!
omg Kpugs...how long was your engagement session? I would've love to get 700 photos!
We got 120+ photos. of them, I used about 8 at the wedding as decor, and then printed about 80 for our photo album!
It was like 2 or 3 hours? I am kind of surprised because I thought that was normal to have like nearly 1,000 LOL.
i just the got the online link to ours, we had 148 pics... from a 3 hour session. our e-session was free as part of our wedding package, but we will only be getting a dvd of the pics we choose to be in the guestbook.
we kind of want to buy the dvd of all of them... but $250 seems like such a high price for 145 pics :(

I haven't received the CDs with our negatives yet but I was able to view the e-pics online. We got 145 e-pics total. Is that the average number to get for an engagement session?
Also, I didn't get any close up pics so we contacted the photog for some of those. Do you think I'm asking for too much? His pictures are amazing, the backdrop is gorgeous in each pic, but we are so small in the pic, and most of the pics are like that except maybe a few. I'm afraid that we offended him by asking for more pics.
